Flake Family Summer 2008

Mitch is learning how to Skim Board. You have a flat board that you drop at the sand when the waves come in and run and surf the sand. He's not great yet... as you can see, he biffed it a number of times. He's determined though. We'll track his progress through the summer.

This is a statue of Neptune on the beach. There is a really big stage by him that they have huge concerts on the beach every weekend on.

This is a picture of the beach that is two blocks from our appartment. Isn't it beautiful? the waves are small here and the beach is very quiet.

He passed the first time too!

This is Mitch with his trophies from his Novice Debate Year. He and his partner, Michael won 4 total trophies. Mitch finished the year as Blackfoot High School's Top Novice with 299 NFL (National Forensic League) points. We are so proud of him. (Doesn't he look handsome?)

I am the luckiest girl alive. My men are happily (well Bryan happily, Mitch and Ty - not so much) doing the dishes after sunday dinner.

This is our family at the California Theme Park in 2006. We had so much fun. It was our first big trip as a family.
